So, is today the day? Vast numbers of tech sites seem to think so. The world seems to be going crazy in expectation of the launch of the Google ‘Nexus’ phone. Even mainstream media sources such as TV is covering this expected launch, it truly shows the power of the Google brand, the only other phone company to get its products discussed with such frothing fervour is Apple with its iPhone.
The phone, built by HTC, has appeared in leaked photos on gadget sites such as Gizmodo. However another site, Engadget, declared at as “really not very different” in early reviews. It remains to be seen how well this new venture for Google performs in this highly competitive marketplace.
The press conference is set for early evening (UK time) today.
