It’s been a little while since we discussed Google’s docu-conversation tool Wave, but it looks like Google has seen fit to spruce the way in which it deals with extensions.
The link to the extensions section in the navigation panel has been replaced with a small drop menu displaying the new option for the featured extension – basically giving Google the means to highlight a particular extension. The “All” menu option is basically the same as the old extension link.
The gallery view has also been given a dust and a polish with each extension description and icon visible for easy browsing. Arguably it’s not a massive change but little tweaks such as this can really help Wave’s usability.
Finally Google has included the ability to test-drive extensions with the new “Try It Now” option. If you click on an extension in the gallery then some, not all, have the option to try before formally installing – always a welcome addition.
Do you use Google Wave? If so what for? Would be interested to find out some of its more diverse uses!
