Google Pack Now Offering Free Anti Virus Software Avast.

Google have recently added the very popular free antivirus software Avast to Google pack. Google pack is a very useful downloadable set of tools for your computer. Some of the included applications are Adobe Reader, Skype, real player, spyware doctor and some other great Google tools including the Google Earth.

Here at the Cozy Digital offices we have long been an advocate of using Avast. However it only appears to be supported in the following languages, Czech, German, Italian, French, Spanish, Russian, Polish, and Portuguese. Whereas in the UK is replaced with Spyware doctor.

Will this come to a wider range of countries? It remains to be seen. This comes after Avast reported that it will give you a chance to install chrome when installing Avast – no coincidence I’m sure.

Although the Google Operating System Blog did report that if you install Google pack through the Italian interface it will install Avast in English. If you don’t already have Avast I would recommend that you do now, it’s free, and we all know that the best things in life are free.
