Like getting involved in discussions online or just in need of a little assistance from your fellow internet wanderers? We all from time to time need a little help and whether it’s a tech problem or help with a recipe, internet discussion forums can be a great way to get insight from a variety of other people. The fact is that there aren’t enough articles on the site to cover every topic so Q&A sites and forums come in pretty handy sometimes, and Google knows this.
A useful little feature which has come to light in Google search is the ‘Get more discussion results’ feature. Many might not come across it and many others might overlook it but if you click on a discussion website in your Google search and then click back, the ‘Get more discussion results’ option will appear under the link to the site you visited.
If for example you where to search for ‘how do I access my router’ in Google and select the top result (daniweb.com) and then click the back button you will see the added ‘Get more discussion results’ link. This will allow you to return a selection of similar discussion results and even filter them by length, type, age and whether they are forums or Q&As.
This is a pretty handy little addition that Google apparently started testing on Monday which will give users the opportunity to discover more information of the same type. Forums are always handy for when you need a little exchange of ideas and this is a nice little addition from Google which will help you get the answers you need quickly.
