A comic book focusing on Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg ‘the youngest billionaire on the planet’ is due to be launched in December for $6.99. The comic will be titled: Mark Zuckerberg: Creator of Facebook and will be re telling the story of Facebook’s creator, much like the portrayal in ‘The Social Network’, but with a comic book edge.

The comic book is being produced by Bluewater Productions, who have just teamed up with Hayden 5 Media to turn this comic book into an animated ‘Scanner Darkly’ style film, which is a cross between live action and animation and looks similar to that shown in the image above.
“When we found out that Bluewater was releasing this comic, we knew we had to get on board,” says Todd Wiseman, President of Hayden 5 Media. “We saw a great opportunity to re-tell the story of Mark Zuckerburg post Social Network in a brighter, animated form that could be enjoyed and understood by a broader audience.”

But surely this is just an attempt to cash in further on Facebook’s mega success. Would you read a Facebook comic book? Or go and see another film about its origins?
