Some sort of seasonal high-jinks seem to be sweeping Mountain View at the moment. Google.com now includes a curious hidden feature or ‘Easter Egg’.
If you visit Google.com, don’t enter anything in the search box, just press ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ – A large count-down clock will appear below the search box.
From the size of the number, around 1.4million at the time of writing, many seem to be saying that it is counting down to the end of the year. Maybe it’s something more? Could it be linked with a product launch? Maybe even related to those Google Phone rumours from the last few days?
