I think this new possible deal that Google has rumoured to have struck with Adobe to bundle Chrome with Flash is a case of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. It’s been well documented that Google and Apple have fallen out or to put it more accurately Apple has thrown its toys out the pram. Apple allegedly accused Google of trying to kill the iphone with its new mobile operating system android and the Google phone the Nexus One.
It is also no secret that the relationship between Adobe and Apple is not the greatest. Why this is its unclear, it could be due to the fact that Apple does not support Flash on the iphone which has upset Adobe.
This has came to light after a news story on cnet News claimed that Google may be planning to bundle Flash with its Chrome browser and maybe even its new operating system. The Google operating system blog an unofficial blog on all things Google noticed that a recent update to Chromium, shows that Chrome will use a internal plug-in for Flash and PDF.
Is this the case of Google and Adobe teaming up to take on Apple? Or is it just Google trying to make Chrome a better browser? We would love to hear your speculations and your conspiracy theories below. But please no conspiracy theories about Elvis, he’s dead get over it.
